Christmas Chocolate Donuts
The perfect Christmas Chocolate Donut recipe, this one is a fun way for the kids to get creative too. These donuts can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days (if they last that long!).

Ingredients
- 1 ½ Cups Plain Wholemeal Flour
- 2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 4 Tsp Coconut Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cacao Powder
- 2 Eggs
- ¼ Cup Milk
- 1/3 Cup Rich Glen EVOO
- 1/3 Cup Rich Glen Olive Blossom Honey
- 1/3 + ¼ Cup Greek Yoghurt
- 50g Hazelnuts, Chopped
- 3 Tbsp Nut Butter
- 50g Dark Chocolate, roughly chopped
- 75g Dark Chocolate, for icing
- Candy Canes, finely chopped
- Rich Glen extra virgin olive oil Spray
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Using Rich Glen Olive Oil Spray, spray a donut tin, and set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, coconut sugar, and cacao powder. Mix to combine, then set aside.In a medium mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk, Rich Glen EVOO, and Rich Glen Olive Blossom Honey. Whisk until well combined and fluffy.
- Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and gently fold through until almost combined.
- Add the Greek yoghurt, nut butter, hazelnuts, and 50g Dark Chocolate. Gently fold through until just combined.
- Gently spoon the mixture into the donut molds, filling them only ¾ full to leave room for rising.
- Place into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through (when a skewer comes out clean).
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let them sit for 10 minutes before taking them out of the donut tray. Place on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Line a flat tray with baking paper and set it aside.
- Once completely cooled, melt the 75g dark chocolate in a shallow bowl. Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate and place them onto the lined tray.
- Sprinkle with the candy canes and then place the tray into the fridge to set for about 10-15 minutes.
