Hot & Sweet Chilli Garlic Chicken

This dish combines the fiery heat of Rich Glen's limited edition Hot & Sweet Chilli Garlic sauce with tender chicken, making it irresistible. The chicken is fried to golden perfection & tossed in our secret sauce Served over steamed rice and garnished with spring onion, red chilli, and sesame seeds, this dish is an experience. It's a crowd-pleaser that everyone will talk about at the dinner table, and once you take your first bite, you'll want seconds.

Ingredients

Chicken:
  • 600g chicken breast diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Rich Glen Chilli Salt 
  • ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup cornflour (cornstarch)
  • Rich Glen Agrumato Fiery Chilli Oil, for frying 
Secret Sauce
  • 1 tsp freshly minced garlic
  • 1 tsp freshly minced ginger
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) soy sauce
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) rice wine vinegar
  • 125 ml (½ cup) Rich Glen Hot & Sweet Chilli Garlic sauce (limited edition) 
Serving suggestion:
  • rice
  • spring onion 
  • sesame seeds
  • fresh chilli

Directions

Sauce:
  • In a medium bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients together and set aside.
Coat the Chicken:
  • In a large bowl, mix chicken with paprika, garlic powder, Rich Glen Chilli Salt, pepper, egg, and cornflour until well coated.
Brown the Chicken:
  • Heat Rich Glen Agrumato Fiery Chilli Oil in a large, deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the chicken for approximately 6 minutes, or until it is cooked through and golden brown, turning occasionally
  • Once cooked, place the chicken on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  • Carefully drain the oil from the frying pan and wipe clean.
Cook the Chicken in the Sauce:
  • Return the pan to medium-low heat and add the secret sauce.
  • Stir for 2 minutes until the sauce starts to bubble gently
  • Turn off the heat and add the chicken back to the pan, evenly coated in sauce.
Serve:
  • Serve the chicken immediately with steamed rice.
  • Option to garnish with finely sliced spring onion, red chilli and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  • Optional: drizzle with a touch of Hot & Sweet Chilli Garlic Sauce
